The Chernihiv State Technological University (CHSTU) takes a main place in training of engineering staff in Ukraine. It was founded 51 years ago, it has its history and deep traditions.
After 51 years of fruitful work of a few generations of scientists, tutors and students made our higher educational establishment one of the best among higher technical establishments of education in Ukraine . Nowadays the Chernihiv State Technological University is the leading modern educational establishment, where a lot of future specialists - more than four thousand the students of full- time and extra-mural forms of studies get education.
The university is accredited in full after the IV level of accreditation. It is entered in the list of priority higher educational establishments, declared by Canadian Association of engineers. In his structure there are 4 faculties, Postgraduate Education and Training center, 20 departments (11 of them are preparing departments), scientific and technical library, editorial-publishing department and developed network of maintenance department.
Our students demonstrate the high level of theoretical and practical training on international and All Ukrainian Olympiads, and win prize places there. The most talented are awarded with diplomas and degree.
In the Chernihiv State Technological University 37 professors and doctors of sciences, 114 associate professors and candidates of sciences State and Lenin Prize winners, Honoured Science Workers, academicians of a particular branch academies of sciences, work fruitfully .
Gifted young people have an opportunity to be engaged in science from already the first courses. Annually hundreds of our students take part in the scientific and technical conference of CHSTU, and the best - become the winners of all Ukrainian and international competitions and Olympiads.
The training of teaching staff is conducted in postgraduate course and doctoral studies.
3 Scientists Radas are specialized with a right for admitting and to the leadthrough of defence of dissertations on the receipt of scientific degree of candidate of sciences. Graduate students and doctors annually take part in competitions on the receipt of bonus of President of Ukraine for young scientists, bonuses and grants of Cabinet Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists; bonuses and grants of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the most talented young scientists.
Priority trend of scientific researches – resource-keepings modern technologies in energy, industry and agro industrial complex.
Basic trends:
• working-out of the modern high-efficiency technologies and equipment for tooling of materials, welding of heterogeneous metals;
• working-out of the new systems of electromechanics and sources of feed of the electric system with improved technical-economic descriptions, increase of efficiency of work of the electric systems;
• working-out of theory of the innovative investment systems and complexes;
• designing of the informatively computer systems and global computer networks;
• working-out of inhibiters of corrosion on the basis of digister;
• economic development of region in the system of forming of innovative investment environment.
The university gives students possibility to get military speciality on the department of military preparation with the awarding of rank of reserve officers .
Among our students there are academicians, members-correspondents of the Engineering and Technological Academies of Ukraine, doctors of sciences, professors, honoured science workers. The graduaters of our university hold posts of directors and chief engineers of large industrial enterprises, research institutes, head other establishments and organizations, work in the organs of state administration.
